Racism and mixed race families

Here’s an interesting New York Times story and video about a mixed race family that was created through adoption and marriage.
It’s a beautiful story about one family focusing on love and relationships rather than race, and the struggles they have with racism. It shows that we’ve got a long way to go in terms of eliminating racism. The story focuses on a family in the US, but I have run across racism in France as well. And while it takes a different shape in Europe, racism exists everywhere and is something we all need to be aware of when raising adopted children.
